St Catherine's Catholic Primary School is delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Anthea, who recently represented Queensland at her very first Australian National Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park.
Competing against some of the nation's most talented young gymnasts in the Sub-Junior Division, Anthea delivered an exceptional performance across all three apparatus events. Her hard work, dedication and commitment to her sport were rewarded with an impressive medal haul, earning:
- Silver Medal - Freehand
- Silver Medal - Hoop
- Silver Medal - Clubs
Anthea's remarkable consistency across all three disciplines saw her achieve the prestigious title of Sub-Junior National Silver Medallist, placing 2nd Overall in Australia.
Representing Queensland alongside five fellow gymnasts, Anthea demonstrated incredible determination and skill on the national stage. To achieve such outstanding results at her first National Championships is a testament to the many hours of training, perseverance and passion she brings to her sport.
At St Catherine's, we are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our students both inside and outside the classroom. Anthea's success is an inspiration to her peers and a wonderful example of what can be achieved through dedication and hard work.
