The school entrance is located on Newnham Road near the crest of the hill. The exit is at the base of the hill. There are strict traffic flow arrangements in place in specific time periods in and around St Catherine's which must be adhered to for the safety of our students.
Children are supervised in the school grounds from 8:20am each day.
There are three Drop & Go (Passenger Loading) Zones at St Catherine's:
- Bellot Street Loading Zone
- Church Loading Zone (Church Car Park)
- B Block Loading Zone (Staff Car Park)

Drop and Go Passenger Loading Zones
- All children being picked up in a vehicle will be escorted to these areas and ushered to cars from these locations.
- A teacher will be on duty in these locations until 3:20pm.
- Parents are permitted to collect their children from the courtyard area if they walk to school or have parked and walked into school.
- There is limited parking available in and around St Catherine's.

Bellot Street Loading Zone
- Parents and carers are only permitted to stop for up to two minutes if they are dropping off and picking up students. Motorists must stay with their vehicle at all times.
- If students are not ready to be collected, motorists must leave the zone and re-join the queue. To ensure students are ready to be collected, motorists are asked to arrive at least 5 minutes after school has been let out. This zone is supervised for at least 20 minutes after school has been let out.
- Motorists must listen to any instructions given by loading zone supervisors to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the zone. Motorists who fail to obey instructions from the loading zone supervisor may be reported to Police or Council's Suburban Safety and Parking Compliance unit.
- Move forward to “take up the space" in the loading zone.
- Do Not stop on yellow lines or over driveways.

Church Loading Zone
- This loading zone is accessed via Newnham Road. Motorists must exit this loading zone onto Bellot Street.
- Parents and carers are only permitted to stop for up to two minutes if they are dropping off and picking up students. Motorists must stay with their vehicle at all times.
- If students are not ready to be collected, motorists must leave the zone and re-join the queue. To ensure students are ready to be collected, motorists are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes after school has been let out.

B Block Loading Zone
- This loading zone is accessed via Newnham Road. Motorists must exit this loading zone onto Newnham Road.

Parking at St Catherine's
- The Bus Stop directly in front St Catherine's is a District Route Bus Stop. Children are supervised at this Bus Stop in the afternoon until their bus has arrived.
- Students, parents and carers are asked to cross roads at designated crossing points.

Long Term Parking
- Long term all day parking is available in the school's car park which is accessed via Newnham Road, and on streets surrounding the school.
- Motorists are reminded to obey and No Stopping conditions that may apply, and not to park across resident's driveways, pedestrian crossings or intersections.
- Motorists who park in an unlawful manner may be reported to Council's Suburban Safety and Parking Compliance team and/or the Queensland Police Service.

Staff Parking
- Long term all day staff parking is available within the dedicated staff car park which is accessed via Newnham Road.

Disability Permit Parking
- Disability permit parking spaces are available within the school's car park which is accessed via Newnham Road.

Deliveries
- Deliver drivers are asked to contact the school's administration to arrange deliveries.

Bus Zones
- Bus zones are reserved for school and commuter bus services only. Motorists who unlawfully park in these spaces may be reported to Council's Suburban Safety and Parking Compliance team and/or the Queensland Police Service.

Nano Nagle Centre Parking
- Motorists from the school are asked not to park in the Nano Nagle Centre's car park. This is reserved for parents who need to drop off and pick up children from the kindergarten.

Bus Services

- Students are encouraged, where possible, to travel to and from school by bus. This helps to reduce traffic congestion at the school's gates and teaches students valuable skills for later in life.

Crossing Roads
- Students, parents and carers are asked to cross roads at designated crossing points.
- When crossing at traffic lights, only commence crossing when the green pedestrian signal is displayed and traffic has come to a complete stop.
- When crossing at children's crossings, only commence crossing the road when directed by the crossing supervisor.
- When crossing at pedestrian refuges and unsignalised intersections, only commence crossing when there is a suitable gap in traffic. Inexperienced pedestrians should be accompanied by an adult when crossing at these locations.

- Parents are encouraged to view the link at www.schooltransport.com.au to see if you are eligible for rebates via the Students with Disability Travel Rebate Scheme.
- Student travel rebate applications are only open in May for Semester 1 and October for Semester 2.
